HackerSchool is an academic association focused on developing activities in a multidisciplinary, learn-by-doing environment with peer learning, inspired by the values of hacker culture.
Here, regardless of your background, you learn to create new products and services using emerging technologies like the Internet of Things or the semantic web, utilizing low-cost solutions based on open electronics, open materials, and open fabrication, among others.
As part of Técnico, HackerSchool aims to create a collaborative space that encourages and brings together students passionate about technology to carry out their projects and, in doing so, help them find their vocation and reach their full potential, both as individuals and as entrepreneurs, through hands-on interaction with technology, engineering, and science.
The goal is to foster a generation of students with new ideas in mind, thinking differently about the world's problems, which will reflect in the future creation of products and design of innovative solutions.
HackerSchool also aims to establish itself as a multidisciplinary convergence center where students and professors from different courses come together to experiment and share innovative ideas.
HackerSchool operates in semester cycles with Workshops, HackNights, and TeamBuilding sessions. Throughout the year, members can participate in Hackathons, Lectures, Fairs, and other events. HackerSchool members always have guaranteed free entry to any event organized by the association!
